Reverse publishing with Microsoft Frontpage

You can do what is known as a "reverse publish" with Frontpage, where you publish your site from the webserver to your local PC. Just open Frontpage, go to the File menu, select Open Site (or Open Web, depending on your version of Frontpage), and in the Site Name box, type www.yourdomainname.com, and click Open. It will prompt you for your username and password, and after you enter it, you will be shown all of your files on the webserver. Then, go to the File menu again, and select Publish Site (or Publish Web). Under the Remote Web Site tab, select the File System button, then use the browse button to navigate to the folder on your PC that you wish to publish to, and click OK. Then, click on the Publish button. You will be notified that the folder you selected isn't a Frontpage Web, and would you like to make it one; select Yes.
