Email that is subdirectory hosted is handled exactly the same as domain forwarding; the email is aliased or forwarded to the master domain. The master domain is the domain that has the paid-hosting plan.

Setup the email option exactly as if you were creating it for the master domain:
  1. Login to the control panel with the master domain information and create the email option.
     The Email options are:
         * Creating a new pop3/imap email account
         * Creating an email forward
         * Setting up an autoresponder
         * Total Domain Forwarding
         * Postmaster
  2. Setup the email option exactly as if you were creating it for the master domain.
  3. To configure your email program to download email use the POP3/IMAP email
         * Email Address: any email address
           (user@forwarded-domain or user@master-domain)
         * Username: your full email email address for the master domain
           (user@master-domain)
         * Password: your email password for the user@master-domain
Example:

  • A person either forwards domain-two.com or subdirectory hosts domain-two.com under the master domain, domain-one.com. That person logs into the control panel with the domain-one.com login information to create an email account, jessica.

  • They then configure Outlook with the email address jessica@domain-two.com (because they want to change their email address), and the login username as jessica@domain-one.com because domain-one.com is the master domain.

Note: jessica@domain-one.com and jessica@domain-two.com could not be seperate email addresses for two different people named jessica because one is forwarded to the other.
