A year ago I made $25.00 in one day. Would be nice if I could get back to that point again.

I think the most I've made so far in one day is $80.  I get upset if I don't make atleast $5 daily.  When I started though, $5 in a day was a huge deal!  Hopefully, someday I'll be saying this about my $80 days...

This is due to affiliate relationships with mobile phone companies (Verizon and ATT).  I get $45 for each ATT subscription and $35 - $45 for each Verizon subscription.  I like to put their banners on my high traffic pages just in case.  I also sometimes get people looking for online promo codes for these companies - those usually turn into sales.

Very nice, how long did it roughly take you to start making that much?

It usually takes me a good few months before I start generating some revenue from my sites.

I just have one site, but its a BIG one - coupon site.  I've been working on it for several years and the money keeps getting better (as I get it built - still working on it!).  I didn't make very much at all for probably the first six months.  I then got people who signed up at my forums and wanted to be placed on a mailing list.  I was working on pages that didn't necessarily translate to sales (get paid to test drive, how to write a complaint letter, etc...) but brought in traffic and backlinks.  In the meantime, I taught myself PHP, turned my site into a database one (for easier maintenance), set up a template from scratch based on CSS tableless design (for better SEO) and read about SEO.  I'm also a busy stay-at-home mom, so I work on it when I get a chance!!!

After about 1 year, I'd get occasional sales bringing in $5 commission, sometimes I'd get a big sale with a $25 commission.  Last summer (2 years into things), I started doing well with AT&T, which offers a good commission.  Since then, things have been on a slow but steady incline, both traffic-wise and sales-wise.  I attribute this to more of my site being 'built'.  I've implemented using data feeds, found out about adding &afsrc=1 to the end of my affiliate links, started redirecting my affiliate links through PHP scripts, etc...  I'm still hard at work on alot of things that are invisible to visitors, but important to PR (i.e. internal linking structure and such).

I probably make between $300 and $500 per month now - have a goal to get it up to $1000 monthly by the end of summer.  I've had more success once I realized that I need to focus on getting people to click links, rather than focusing on closing sales.  Building up site content to get indexed takes a while, keyword research, article writing, all that fun stuff....

Wow - wait a minute....

I just realized this is for adsense.  Wish I made that much!!  I think about $7 a day is max for me with that.  I get my $100 check maybe once every 3 months.

The most I made in a day was $111 and that was only from two of the 5 ads running on the website. I can only imagine how much I would've made if I had all ads.

I had my best month yet last month on one of my sites - one day it made $152.01 - now, if I could just keep it doing that all the time . . . there is a seasonal aspect to it so that ride is good for Setember and October (leading up to Halloween) and then levels out at around $30.00 per day.

This is one of my favorite stories, but it is true so I am gonna share with the class. Back when gambling on all poker sites was okay, I played on one particular site on a regular basis. I'm not going to mention the name of the site, but U.S. Players can no longer play there anymore. I played their $1,000 Freeroll on a regualr basis. Ifn case you don't know what a freeroll is, it is a game where you can play for free and win real money. Jackpot being $1,000 total.

Anyhow, I was playing a game and my computer froze up. I thought this stupid computer, once again, was screwing up on me. The next thing I know, I got an email from the poker site apologizing to me about their software messing up, and as an apology they wanted to put me in their $35,000 freeroll. ($35,000 being the total prizepool.)

At the time, my car was about to be repossessed, and I had a ton of bills and didn't know what I was going to do. So, I plyed the game. It lasted about 4 hours. I ended up geting 2nd place out of about 750 people, and won $3,600.00!

That's not the kicker though. I immediately cashed out, had it sent next day air, and had a check in my hand by the following day. I turn on my computer, go into my poker account, and see the money is still in there. I am an honest person, so I called them and asked if it took a while for the money to go through after cashing out. The lady on the phone told me they didn't have any record of me cashing out. I explained to her I had a check in my hand from them for $3600. I argued with her for about 30 minutes or so, and finally she said "Well, I guess you have more money now."

$7,200 was the total amount I made within 24 hours with absolutely no investment except 4 hours of my time to play the game.I know nothing like this will ever happen again, but I wish it would...lol

The End! :-)
