Hello - I'm Laura.  I'm a stay-at-home mom who used to be a CIS student and did some work on Microsoft Access databases with VBA (banking applications) quite a few years ago.  Since then, I professionally worked on intranet maintenance at a company with FrontPage (again, some time ago).  Now I stay home with the kids, taught myself PHP, CSS and website design in general.  I'm always working on SEO and social networking and learning how to make money online I hope.

It'll be interesting to meet likeminded individuals here.

PHP/mySQL is great for easy maintenance of sites.  Eventually I'd like to do some freelance site design - with web 2.0 such a hot topic, they're really necessary.  I used books from Larry Ullman to learn.  The books are great and he's very active on support forums for his books, which is fantastic.  Almost like an online course!  I'd be happy to discuss any more programming on the boards for those - I'm still learning too and want to get more adept with mySQL in particular.  Again - good to meet you!
