What is Whois?

When a domain name is registered, ICANN requires us to submit your personal contact information in to a Whois database. Once your domain is listed in this online directory, it is available publicly for anyone who wants to check the domain name on a whois search.

Since we are an accredited domain name registrar, we much comply with these requirements set forth by ICANN. If you are not comfortable having your personal information being visible to the public, you can add Domain Privacy which will hide your information and display our company information in it's place.


Public Whois Listings

If you feel comfortable having your information available to the public and do not wish to add domain privacy, we will go ahead and submit it to the Whois database. This includes your name, address, phone number, email address and the expiration date of your domain. The IP address and host name of your website are also typically listed.
