I think everyone might be interested to know WebHero's and Catalog.com's History.  We have been one of the true pioneers of the interent and the longest continuously running Internet Company.

  • Winter of 1994   Bob Crull, Bill Miller and Rod Phillips start Dallas Internet
  • March, 1995      Dallas Internet Launches in Dallas first to advertise on Radio.
  • February, 1996  Change name to Ethos Communications, expands to OK
  • July, 1998          Purchase Catalog.com, the oldest hosting company in the world
  • 1999                   Change Name to Catalog.com and launch ecommerce
  • 2000                   Prepare public offering
  • 2001                   Internet Bubble Busts
  • 2001 - 2003       Move all operations to Oklahoma City
  • 2005                   Start the ONEsite subsidiary which is the leader in "white label" social networking
  • 2006                   Move all hosting and domain registration to WebHero
  • July, 2008          Relaunch WebHero as a social network for webmasters and hosting company

I hope this give you a little feel for our 14 year history.  Below are a few photo's of our facilities

Bob,

That sounds great! Looks like you've had tremendous success. Can you share some times when things didn't go so well? I enjoy reading books on business profiles & always try to learn from what worked & what didn't work when a company was forming. If you had to do it all over again, what would you change? I plan on creating a company one day that will go public.

Best regards,

Binh

Hi Bob-

I am proud to say that I am probably one of you longest subscribers - I go further back on your history than you show. When I signed on with your company, had placed flyers at IMS Computers in Plano for a new start-up Internet service called Plano Internet. The price was right, and anything had to be better than AOL! So I signed up on the spot. My email was fulwiler@plano.net. About a month later, it changed to fulwiler@dallas.net. I kept that email for many years even as a stand alone email account after I started developing a few domains.

I have sent a lot of customers to your company over the years. Your customer service is always right on top of any problems I encounter, and happy to walk me through anything that I manage to mangle on my own and requires their help to put it back together again.

I look forward to another 14 years and more of the same great service...
